ABOUT US
Here at Vanbert Health Equity Project, we are driven by an urge to do our part in making the world a better place for all. Our decision making process is informed by comprehensive empirical studies and high quality data evaluation. We strive to build productive relationships and make a positive impact with all of our pursuits.
What We Do
The VHEP seeks to elevate the health standards of its target communities with three initiatives Obesity, Hereditary Cancer Screening and Universal Healthcare. We explore the effectiveness of dieticians and physical therapists in helping poorer communities navigate their way through the complex relationship of Obesity, Diabetes and food deserts.
In addition, we promote the potential benefits of understanding cancer genetic risks, screening and therapy to our target communities. Lastly, we publicize the fact that universal healthcare works in every country that has it. We engage our target communities about our initiatives usually through three means:
EDUCATION
We provide didactical and experiential training as well as coaching.
PARTICIPATORY RESEARCH
We empower communities to experience the benefits of gathering and
monitoring their own data to achieve desired health outcomes.
ADVOCACY
We partner with communities to demand civic and legislative policies that will increase access and improve their overall quality of health.
